Kids Facilitated Jam Sessions
Kids can learn so much through the study of rhythm,
from music and world history to geography to respect
for the cultures of others.
Total Rhythm has a variety of programs designed to
teach kids aged 2-17 about rhythm, world music,
history, and international culture. These programs
are designed to get kids actively involved in playing music from around the world!

Educational Lectures/Presentations
(For kids aged 2-17, from 2-200 students.) 20 mins - 1.5 hrs. Total Rhythm can tailor a program for any kids' gathering, whether in-school, after-school, church group, day care center, birthday party, etc. Our programs
offer:
- Overview of the history of various world music
forms, using maps to explain geographic movements and
world music history.
- Description, presentation, and playing of world
music instruments from Africa, Brazil, Cuba, and
throughout the Caribbean.
- Opportunity for kids to hear, touch and play all
instruments!
- Facilitated kids jam session.

Kids Facilitated Jam Sessions
(For kids aged 2-17,
Group size 2-30). (20 mins. - 1.5 hrs.) Do you work
with a group of kids that you'd like to turn on to
rhythm? Sometimes the best way is to simply get drums
in their hands, provide simple guidance, and let them
play! If you prefer more structure, Total Rhythm
offers facilitated drum jam sessions with specific
rhythms and parts.
All of our drum sessions teach the following:
